JONAH
Once upon a time there was a village in North Israel. All the people lived peacefully there. One of them was Jonah. Jonah lived with his parents. They loved him very much. (Orientation 1)
In the north of Israel was Syria. It had powerful knights. They were very cruel and liked to invade other countries. (Orientation 2)
One night when the people of Jonah’s village were sleeping, the Syrian knights attacked his village. They burned down the houses. One of them threw a torch into Jonah’s house. Jonah’s house was on fire. (Complication)
Jonah and his parents avoided the fire burning their house. They saved themselves by climbing a ladder to the upstairs. It was too high for them to jump down to the ground from the upstairs. Jonah’s father took a rope to get down from the stairs to the ground. They escaped to another village.(Resolution)
Jonah and his parents lived in a fishermen village. They became fishermen. (Reorientation)
One day, when they were fishing in the sea, Jonah fell into the sea. Jonah was drawn into the sea. A whale came closed to him. He tried to swim avoiding the whale as fast as possible but he failed and at last the whale swallowed him. Jonah was still alive in the stomach of the whale. He prayed to God to be released from the stomach of the whale.(Complication)
Fortunately God granted his prayer. The whale came closed to an island. It opened its mouth and Jonah came out from its stomach.(Resolution)
Jonah swam to the seashore and he lived in a new island.(Reorientation)
Moral value : Don’t give up when you face the problems

JONAH AND THE WHALE
1. Jonah decided to go to Tarsis. He asked to seller in market “Which ship that would go to Tarsis?” The seller showed to Jonah the ship would go to Tarsis.
2. Jonah rode the ship. The peoples in the ship were kind and friendly. He got many new friends. Then, he put his bag on the floor of ship.
3. Ship started the trip. Jonah felt very happy. A man asked him to eat together. But he said, “No, I would sleep” and he slept.
4. When his friends were eaten, there was rain accompanied by a gale. Then, one of his friends called Jonah.
5. Jonah’s friends were give course to Jonah. One of them was cut straws into the same size and asked to all of the peoples in the ship to take the straws. Who got short straws must leap to sea but, nobody got that straw. When Jonah took the straws, the man cut the straws with short size. So, all peoples thought that Jonah must leap to sea.
6. Jonah leaps to sea. However, under sea not bad as Jonah’s thought. Many fish come to him. Then, they vague.
7. Suddenly, the big whale came. Jonah very surprised. He said,”what is that?”
8. Soon, the big scary whales chase Jonah. And the whale feed Jonah. Now, he was in stomach of whale.
9. In the stomach whale, Jonah is wistful. His shadow makes him as his mistake. He more emphasizes his affair better than affair with God.
10. Snake come to him. The whale goes up to surface when the whale back to sea, water in to stomach whale. And it made Jonah washed away. He screamed “its my mistake”
11. The whale goes to surface. And open it mouth. Soon, the whale vomits up all of the contents stomach.
12. Finally, Jonah out from stomach the whale. He aground in a dessert. Jonah was confuse and he don’t know where is he.
